REECE THOMPSON
Lead Actor in the upcoming movie Assassination of a High School President at the AFI Dallas premier on March 29, 2008.

At SXSW 2008 we made friends with the cast and crew of Assassination after its feature debut at the SXSW Film Festival. One thing lead to another and our shirts started showing up on the red carpet. Look for more sightings from this bunch since they have asked to be "gifted" many more shirts for all of their famous friends.

MOVIE INFO:
Assassination of a High School President
Projected Release Date: September 12, 2008
Starring: Reece Thompson, Mischa Barton & Bruce Willis
More Info: Yari Film Group, MTV Sundance Movie Review

MOVIE PLOTLINE: Sophomore Bobby Funke, played with witty nuance by Reece Thompson, is a self-described newspaper dork whose social skills are severely lacking in this high school hierarchy, yet he is instantly recognizable as the person with the most promising future in his class. Determined to win a spot in a coveted summer journalism program, he finds himself at the epicenter of a story that threatens the entire social structure of St. Donovan’s High School--everyone from jocks to misfits to Bruce Willis’s campy and over-the-top principal. The rest of the perfectly cast ensemble creates a high school from hell, where anything seems possible, especially since every character seems to be 16 going on 30. Giving any hints about the way this film turns out would only destroy the fun.

THE ROOTS -
DAMON "TUBA GOODING JUNIOR" BRYSON

April 6, 2008 - Austin, TX

South Side Sanctuary designer Jon loves The Roots. When they came to Austin, we gave them shirts. The Roots liked them so much they wore them on stage that night.

The Roots released their 10th album Rising Down on April 29 to critical praise.

Blender calls the effort “an excellent, punchy album full of youthful swagger and anything-goes experimentation.”

The Roots, “one of rap’s best live bands,” according to Rolling Stone take their soul train of funk-rock across the country this summer.

From the Daily Texan:
Seven men, one mission: The Roots crew aims for nothing less than live perfection. Saturday's 40 Acres Fest, presented by the University Co-op and produced by the Music and Entertainment Committee, was capped off by a solid performance by the hip-hop innovators, starting just before sunset and lasting into the night.

In addition to his dancing, strutting and running into the crowd, Gooding proved to be that extra spice that sets The Roots' crew apart from all other live hip-hop acts.

Onstage, Questlove was repping a Philly hood, Tuba Gooding Jr. had on a nice artistic T-shirt, and Black Thought looked nothing short of stadium status in his stealth leather bomber jacket and revolutionary cap. As hard as it is to do with a band like The Roots, I have to give a tie for best performance to Tuba Gooding Jr. and Capt. Kirk.
